Nikoloski: Big growth in construction, transport and storage in Q2
- The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 3.4 percent in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, with the construction sector rising by 7.3 percent, says Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski.
Skopje, 5 September 2025 (MIA) - The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 3.4 percent in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025, with the construction sector rising by 7.3 percent, says Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski.
"Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has announced excellent news for the Macedonian economy - the GDP increased by 3.4 percent in the months of April, May and June. I am especially pleased that sectors construction, transport and storage have produced strong growth, serving as generators of the Macedonian economy. In Q2, construction rose by 7.3 percent, while sector transport and storage by 6 percent," Minister Nikoloski wrote in Facebook post.
He adds that Q3 growth will be even higher through enhanced operations in the construction of road infrastructure, investments in railways and local projects, thanks to the workers who push through all weather conditions and the clear policies and strategy by the Government and the Ministry of Transport.
