Skopje, 14 June 2023 (MIA) - New Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation, Rexhep Demiri, presented his platform for diplomatic activities before the Parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee on Wednesday.

Demiri highlighted bilateral cooperation between North Macedonia and the Swiss Confederation, as well as Switzerland’s role in Europe and the world as a successful country.

"The economic component is of special interest to both countries in the bilateral relations and cooperation between North Macedonia and Switzerland. Economic cooperation with Switzerland takes place mainly in the technical and developmental cooperation sphere. Given the high level of development in the Swiss economy, there is space for improving cooperation, both in terms of increasing trade and the inflow of Swiss investments," Demiri said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Goran Milevski and Edmond Ademi also presented their platforms for diplomatic activities as new ambassadors to Slovenia and Spain, respectively. ssh/nn/
