Skopje, 1 June 2025 (MIA) – The procedure for appointing new government ministers should be completed next week, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said in a statement to the media after visiting the reconstructed physical examination department at the Public Health Institute on Sunday. 

He added that VMRO-DPMNE's candidate for Skopje mayor will be revealed in the first half of July. 

In response to a reporter's question on whether the candidate for mayor of the City of Skopje will be the Minister of Local Self-Government Zlatko Perinski, the Mayor of Kisela Voda Municipality Orce Gjorgjievski or a third party, and what internal party polls say, Mickoski said the party has not yet made a decision on its candidate for Skopje mayor.

"But, from what I can see from the polls, whoever the candidate is, he is certainly better than the best one from the opposition," said PM Mickoski. 

Asked to comment on Arben Taravari's statements and criticism of the Government, PM Mickoski said "unfortunately, he himself is a great disappointment."
