New collective agreement signed for 20% pay raise for employees in public social protection institutions

Skopje, 7 August 2025 (MIA) – Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, together with the UPOZ (Union of Workers from Administration, Judicial Authorities and Citizens' Associations) and SONK (Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture), have signed a new collective agreement enabling a 20% salary increase for employees in public social protection institutions, Minister Fatmir Limani said.

On his Facebook page, he wrote that today, together with the UPOZ and SONK unions, they signed the new collective agreement, which, as he noted, ensures a deserved salary increase for all employees, including directors, in the social protection sector.

“This agreement means better working conditions, increased legal security, and enhanced social dialogue,” Limani wrote on Facebook.
He emphasizes that this is recognition of the work, dedication, and humanitarian mission of all employees in the social protection system. With motivated and hardworking staff, Minister Limani stresses, we provide quality and accessible services to all citizens.
