Skopje, 4 March 2024 (MIA) — The Trade Union of Construction, Industry and Civil Engineering has announced that National Forests employees will go on strike beginning March 7 until their January and February salaries have been paid, union leader Ivan Peshevski told a press conference Monday.

According to Peshevski, the state-owned National Forests has been facing extreme hardship and is not able to pay its workers their wages or health care contributions.

The public enterprise was also hiring 400 new people, he said.

All unionized National Forests employees will join the natonwide strike. mr/
