National electricity production covers 76.4 percent of consumption: statistics
Skopje, 25 March 2024 (MIA) - Total consumption by types of energy commodities in January was 777,650 MWh of electricity, 44.243 mil. nm3 of natural gas, 397,123 tonnes of coal and 80,929 tonnes of petroleum products, said the State Statistical Office on Monday.
Gross national electricity production participated with 76.4% in gross national electricity consumption, while 99.4 % of the total national consumption of coals were used for generation of electricity.
