Skopje, 5 March 2025 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani hosted Wednesday a delegation of ambassadors from Sweden for a roundtable discussion of Swedish assistance for North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

Murtezani, according to the Ministry, expressed gratitude for Sweden’s principled support for North Macedonia’s EU path and its reform process.

“As the single largest bilateral donor among the member states of the European Union, Sweden played a key role in shaping and strengthening the efforts of our country in terms of its transformation. This support was essential not only to the facilitation of our harmonization with European standards and norms, but also in strengthening the foundations of our democratic institutions, economic resilience and environmental sustainability,” said Murtezani.
