Murtezani, Presker reaffirm close bilateral ties

Skopje, 11 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani met Wednesday with Slovenian Ambassador Gregor Presker, reaffirming close bilateral ties as well as the strong partnership in the context of development cooperation and European integration.

Murtezani particularly highlighted the importance of investments in infrastructure projects supported by Slovenian development funds, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release. 

He pointed out that such projects represent significant steps in improving local infrastructure, adding that support and investments in these areas will have a long-term positive effect, creating better conditions and encouraging economic growth. 

"Murtezani expressed gratitude for Slovenia's continuous sincere support, as a friendly country and loyal ally in achieving the strategic goals of North Macedonia, highlighting its principled commitment to the enlargement of the European Union with the Western Balkan countries. Interlocutors also discussed the modalities of transferring the Slovenian experience and knowledge in the process of accession to the Union," reads the press release.
