Mucunski to pay official visit to Croatia

Skopje, 27 August 2024 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is paying Tuesday and Wednesday a two-day working visit to the Republic of Croatia at the invitation of Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman.


According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in a press release, FM Mucunski will have a face-to-face meeting with his counterpart and attend the Conference of Ambassadors, Consuls General and Military Attachés of the Republic of Croatia. He will speak at the conference's special session on The European Union after the new election cycle, sharing the Macedonian point of view on Southeastern Europe.


The focus of the talks between the two foreign ministers will be the EU integration process as well as challenges on the way to fully integrating the Western Balkans into the EU.


Ministers Mucunski and Radman will also discuss ways to further deepen the already excellent relations between North Macedonia and Croatia as well as promote bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.


While in Zagreb, the top Macedonian diplomat, as a member of the state delegation led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, will also participate in activities planned as part the PM's first official visit to the Republic of Croatia, at the invitation of Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. mr/
