Mucunski meets EABC officials: Strengthening of economic cooperation between North Macedonia and Australia

Skopje, 11 February 2025 (MIA) – Ways to enhance economic cooperation was the focal point of the working visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, to Australia.

To that end, the Minister yesterday met with officials of the European Australian Business Council (EABC), a leading platform for economic and trade cooperation between Europe and Australia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said Tuesday.

Talks focused on ways to advance the economic cooperation between the two countries, boost trade and attract investments. An accent was put on the prospect for cooperation in energy, infrastructure and new technologies.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia are strongly committed to attracting new foreign investments. The stable business climate and the strong support for foreign and local companies make our country an attractive destination for investing, not only in the region but also in Europe,” said Minister Mucunski.

He stressed that strengthening of economic and trade relations remains one of the priorities in the further development of the two countries’ bilateral cooperation, said the press release.
