Mucunski holds several bilateral meetings on sidelines of UNGA 80

Skopje, 27 September 2025 (MIA) - As part of his participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, held several bilateral meetings with counterparts from Portugal, Lebanon, Uzbekistan and the Solomon Islands, as well as with the OSCE Secretary General.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, at the meeting with Portugal's Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel, interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations and the partnership within NATO. Talks also highlighted the importance of European integration, reaffirming the readiness to deepen political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation.  

At the meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Lebanon and the Solomon Islands, interlocutors welcomed the establishment of diplomatic relations, expressing readiness to further promote them.

"During the meeting with the Uzbek Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, a Protocol on Inter-Ministerial Cooperation was signed, establishing regular political consultations and a basis to promote bilateral relations and political cooperation," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release. 

Minister Mucunski also met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, reaffirming successful cooperation to date and discussing possibilities to deepen it.
