Skopje, 15 November 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held on Friday a farewell meeting with Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri. 

Mucunski extended gratitude for Ambassador Silvestri's overall contribution to the development of Italian-Macedonian relations and cooperation during his diplomatic term in the country. He expressed readiness to continue the open dialogue with the arrival of the new Italian Ambassador to the country, given the intensified dynamics of the political dialogue in the past period and the frequent high-level meetings between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release. 

In addition, reads the press release, interlocutors exchanged views on current issues related to the country's European file, with Minister Mucunski extending gratitude to Italy for its ongoing support for the country's strategic commitments to membership in the European Union, stressing the firm commitment to the reform agenda, with the aim of opening a new phase in the European process and full-fledged EU membership.
