Skopje, 28 July 2025 (MIA) – A total of 51 wildfires were registered in the past 24 hours across the country, including eight fires that are active, seven that have been contained and 36 that have been put out.

Wildfires are burning parts of forests and grassland in Nivichino village, Golem Goten mountain and the Maleshevo Mountain in the Prilep village of Beshishte, a section on the border with Greece as well as active fires in the regions of Prilep, Kavadarci and Makedonski Brod, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Monday.

Fires have been put out in the municipalities of Shuto Orizari, Arachinovo, Saraj, Zelenikovo, Bitola, Prilep, Dolneni, Krivogashtani, Strumica, Vasilevo, Gevgelija, Ohrid, Struga, Makedonski Brod, Veles, Sveti Nikole, Probishtip, Kumanovo, Lipkovo, Brvenica, Bogovinje, Gostivar and Vrapchishte.
