Monthly inflation down 1.3% in March: statistics
- Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in March 2025, compared to March 2024, increased by 2.7%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 2.2%, according to latest figures released by the State Statistical Office. Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in March 2025, compared to February 2025, dropped by 1.3%, while the Retail Price Index dropped by 0.9%.

Skopje, 7 July 2025 (MIA) - Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in March 2025, compared to March 2024, increased by 2.7%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 2.2%, according to latest figures released by the State Statistical Office. Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in March 2025, compared to February 2025, dropped by 1.3%, while the Retail Price Index dropped by 0.9%.
A decrease in inflation in March 2025, compared to February 2025, is the result of the decrease in the Consumer Price Index in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 3.0%, Transport by 1.8%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.6%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 0.5% and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.3%.
In March 2025, compared to February 2025, an increase in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Clothing and footwear by 0.4%, Restaurants and hotels by 0.3%, Communications and Health by 0.2% and Recreation and culture by 0.1%. The Consumer Price Index in the group Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
