Montenegro declares Monday national day of mourning for victims in Kochani tragedy

Podgorica, 16 March 2025 (MIA) - After the tragedy in North Macedonia, in which 59 people died and more than 150 were injured, Montenegro has declared Monday, March 17, national day of mourning.
"It is with great sadness that we received the news of the tragic event in Kochani, North Macedonia. The Government of Montenegro is ready to stand by the friendly people of North Macedonia in all necessary ways at this difficult time, and we hereby inform the public that Monday, March 17, will be a Day of Mourning in Montenegro. We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to those injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with North Macedonia," Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić posted on X.
