Skopje, 29 September 2025 (MIA) - Мinister of Interior Panche Toshkovski met Monday with the new Ambassador of Sweden to North Macedonia, Ola Sohlström, with both reaffirming the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, based on trust and partnership.

Minister Toshkovski expressed gratitude for Sweden's continued support in the process of strengthening the police capacities and the country's EU integration process, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.

Ambassador Sohlström welcomed the Government's commitment in the fight against crime and corruption, and thanked the Ministry of Interior's contribution in maintaining peace, stability and security in the country.

Interlocutors also highlighted the significance of joint project "Swedish Support to Police Reforms", funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), as another clear indicator of the successful partnership between the two countries, reads the press release.
