MoI Toshkovski meets OSCE Ambassador Wahl

Skopje, 2 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski met Tuesday with Head of the OSCE Mission to Skopje, Ambassador Kilian Wahl, and thanked the organization for the continued support and commitment in the efforts to modernize the police, especially in the area of professional policing, training projects for police officers, and modernization of equipment.
Minister Toshkovski said that one of the basic pillars of the new Government is to combat organized crime and high-level corruption, including the need to build a modern police service that will consistently follow the principles of democratic police work, but will also be a service based on the principle of merit and integrity, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
While referring to several points as the main focus of the activities of the OSCE Mission, Ambassador Wahl emphasized the commitment and dedication of this international organization and the Ministry of Interior to improving the ministry’s operating processes. ssh/ik/
