Skopje, 31 January 2024 (MIA) - Caretaker Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski, Deputy Minister Nazim Bushi and additional Deputy Minister Mitko Bojmacaliev held a working meeting on Wednesday with OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) delegation led by ODIHR Senior Election Adviser Keara Castaldo, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a press release.

Minister Toshkovski expressed gratitude for the cooperation and efforts the ODIHR continuously invests in ensuring a transparent implementation of every election process in the country.

In response to Castaldo's question on their role in the election process, Toshkovski stressed that the most important thing is that the ODIHR Mission will once again play a main role in the election process and transparently present the overall election process in order to ensure fair and democratic elections.

"The Ministry assures that utmost efforts will be made in terms of participating in the upcoming election process in order to organize and conduct fair, democratic and safe elections," the press release adds. ssh/nn/
