Skopje, 9 March 2024 (MIA) – As of Monday, citizens will be able to pick up their ID cards in their local police stations, announced the Interior Ministry in a press release Saturday.

“An analysis of the success of the delivery of ID cards to the citizens’ homes in the City of Skopje has concluded that this method is incomplete and insufficiently efficient, and it doesn’t have the desired effect both among the citizens and the police officers in charge of delivering the ID cards,” said the Ministry in a press release.

The Ministry said that as of Monday, March 11, 2024, it will launch a new process of issuing ID cards in the premises of the local police stations based on the living address of the citizens.

Citizens will be able to pick up their ID cards at the police stations any time of day, seven days a week, said the Ministry.
