Skopje, 20 April 2022 (MIA) – The Ministry of Interior organized on Wednesday the first police operational and tactical drill ‘Spring-22’. The drill took place at the Boris Trajkovski Arena Sports Center, to present the readiness and expertise of the police force to perform security tasks. As part of the drill, members of the Rapid Deployment Unit and the Special Unit “Tiger” demonstrated conducting supporters of sports clubs on the ground, providing VIP security protection when entering sport venue, removing groups of supporters due to disorderly conduct and disturbing a match, removing explosives, as well as police response in a hostage situation. Excellent coordination and physical readiness of the police force is crucial in such situations as demonstrated in the drill. The readiness and expertise of the police force prevents disorderly conduct during sports matches, as well as all other security threats.
