MoH: Over 1.7 million vaccine doses administered, 48% of adult population fully jabbed
Skopje, 15 December 2021 (MIA) – So far, 838,987 citizens of North Macedonia have received at least one vaccine dose; 810,990 citizens have received two; and 86,266 citizens have received a booster shot, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
A total of 1,736,243 vaccine doses have been administered in North Macedonia.
According to the Ministry of Health’s latest released figures, 48 percent of the population over 18 has received two vaccine doses. Of them, 57 percent of citizenтернскаs over 40 have received two vaccine doses. So far, 22 percent of people aged over 60 have received the booster dose.
Moreover, 50 percent of the country’s entire adult population has received at least one vaccine dose.
“Walk-in vaccinations are available at vaccination sites nationwide and field vaccination is also underway. Vaccines are safe and efficient and they are the only way to defeat the pandemic. Full vaccination prevents serious symptoms, as well as lowers the chances of getting infected and dying from COVID-19,” the Ministry of Health said.
