Modular Covid hospitals in the country are safe, says Zaev
Skopje, 16 September 2021 (MIA) – Modular hospitals built across the country in line with standards are safe. Same ones have been built all around the world. They have saved thousands of lives and currently, 200 people are being treated there, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev stated Thursday. Inspections of modular hospitals, where COVID-19 patients are treated, have strengthened after a modular hospital in Tetovo burned down, claiming 14 lives. “We’ve been all shaken by the tragedy, lives were lost. Let’s wait for the forensic investigation before we start preventing such incidents from happening in the future,” Zaev said responding to journalists’ questions after promoting a new private investment in Skopje’s Saraj industrial zone. Asked about the resignations tendered by the health minister and his deputy after the deadly incident, Zaev reiterated that he will decide whether to accept them after the investigation into the hospital fire is completed.
