M-NAV decides to greenlight selection of candidates for air traffic controllers
Skopje, 11 November 2022 (MIA) - The steering board of M-NAV, the national service provider for air navigation, decided Friday to accept the selection of candidates to be trained for air traffic controllers and to issue guidelines for their employment for a definitive period. "It was neither considered nor actions were taken to terminate or annul the ad, which was reported by some media. The only accurate thing that was reported is that the management of this institution has been consistently abiding by the national and international regulations," the board said in a press release. M-NAV's reaction comes after the trade union of air traffic controllers has said there were doubts that the candidates close to the management and to high-ranking politicians weren’t selected, which is why the company was trying to terminate the process and to introduce new criteria for selection in order for them to qualify. The trade union said Friday that the M-NAV board's decision approving a training for the candidates for air traffic controllers closed an issue "that should have been closed some 15 days ago without creating tensions and revealing the situation publicly." Trade union president Aleksandar Tasevski told MIA they will seek responsibility from the management over the recent developments involving the ad for selection of candidates for training of air traffic controllers.
