Skopje, 10 April 2024 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Jovan Mitreski extends his greetings to the head of the Islamic Religious Community, Reis-ul-Ulema Shaqir Fetai, and to the citizens of the Islamic faith on the occasion of the Muslim holiday of Ramadan Bayram. He wishes them a day filled with happiness, prosperity, and harmony with their loved ones.
“I believe that after a month of fasting, all your wishes will be granted, and the mutual respect, understanding, tolerance, and humanity, which should be the essence of every individual, will assist in their fulfillment. Religious holidays uplift compassion, showing that regardless of our religious affiliation, what truly matters is mutual respect and understanding, which make us all better and spiritually enriched,” Mitreski said.
He highlights that therein lie the beauties of the iftar dinners, where, as he states, we showcased mutual understanding and tolerance, while also sharing common moments that will forever remain in our hearts.
“Respected Fetai, I wish you good health, strength, and wisdom in your mission to guide the faithful and provide support in their trials. Together, let us uphold the values that unite us. May the celebration of Ramadan Bayram bring peace to the hearts, serenity to the souls, and joy and harmony to the homes,” Mitreski pointed out.
