Misajlovski – Maqedonci: Countries committed to defense cooperation

Skopje, 18 November 2024 (MIA) - Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski spoke to his Kosovo counterpart Ejup Maqedonci at the joint session of the governments of the two countries on Monday. The two ministers reaffirmed the intention to enhance defense cooperation, noting that regional stability and security represent priorities for both governments, the Ministry of Defense said.

“Our country is an active and committed NATO ally with regional stability and security as its priority. The Macedonian Army has been contributing to NATO’s KFOR mission in Kosovo for four years now, which serves as proof that the region and its security are exceptionally important for us,” Misajlovski said.

Minister Maqedonci expressed gratitude over “the openness of the Macedonian Ministry of Defense and Minister Misajlovski to continued promotion of bilateral cooperation”, adding that it is key to maintain and strengthen the security of the entire region.

The governments of the two countries held a joint session in Pristina on Monday, which was followed by the signing of memoranda of cooperation.
