Skopje, 20 August 2021 (MIA) — Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski at a government session Friday said a bylaw regarding the issuance of new personal identification cards would be published immediately in the "Official Gazette," making it possible to print and issue new ID cards as of tomorrow. According to an official press release, the government’s Friday session had only one item on the agenda: overcoming the problem of the suspended issuance of national identity cards. At the session, the government asked the interior minister to take all necessary steps to adopt a bylaw in accordance with the Law on Personal Identification Documents and to align it with the provisions of the Law on the Use of Languages so that the issuance of ID application forms and ID cards can resume. Minister Spasovski, the release notes, told the prime minister and the government ministers the bylaw would be published by the end of the day in the "Official Gazette," which will allow the printing and issuance of new IDs to applicants. mr/
