Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to Middle East countries
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, due to deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, urges all Macedonian citizens currently in Israel and Iran to follow national emergency portals and strictly adhere to the instructions of the competent authorities. The Ministry also issued an appeal to all Macedonian citizens to avoid travelling to the countries in this region until the security situation improves.

Skopje, 13 June 2025 (MIA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, due to deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, urges all Macedonian citizens currently in Israel and Iran to follow national emergency portals and strictly adhere to the instructions of the competent authorities. The Ministry also issued an appeal to all Macedonian citizens to avoid travelling to the countries in this region until the security situation improves.
“According to the information received from the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Tel Aviv, the airspace over Israel and Iran is currently closed, as are the airports in Tel Aviv and Tehran, with no specific announcement on the resumption of regular air traffic,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.

The Ministry has set up a crisis team that is closely monitoring the situation and will promptly inform the public of any updates.
