Shtip, 16 March 2024 (MIA) — Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, we are absolutely ready to help in the medical treatment of Ukrainian soldiers, but it should be taken into account that health care is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health, Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska said in response to a reporter's question whether the Macedonian Army was ready to offer medical treatment to injured Ukrainian soldiers.
She said she had talked with the health minister about this and the next step would be to determine the country's capacities "if this need arises, because so far we have not received a specific request for this kind of care and treatment of Ukrainian soldiers."
"Of course we will be especially careful that responding to this request – the support and assistance we will offer — does not affect the regular processes in public health care", Petrovska said during an event in Shtip marking the country's four years since joining NATO and the Alliance 75th anniversary. mr/
