Skopje, 24 August 2022 (MIA) - Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska has sent a letter to her Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov to congratulate him on Ukraine's Independence Day and to reaffirm North Macedonia's support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. "For North Macedonia is of paramount importance to support any country in the world to uphold its fundamental right to self-defense, freedom and democracy. We were one of the first countries that had decided to provide military and technical assistance to Ukraine," reads the letter. The country, Petrovska writes to Reznikov, has joined the policies of the EU and the whole democratic world, which puts us on the right side of history and North Macedonia as OSCE presidency holder remains committed to the efforts made to cease military actions and to restore peace and security.
