Minister Murtezani, Japanese Ambassador discuss ways to improve cooperation
- Minister for European Affairs Orhan Murtezani held a meeting Friday with the Japanese Ambassador Otsuka Kazuya in which the excellent bilateral cooperation and Japan’s support for North Macedonia was confirmed through donations in some of the key sectors for the country’s EU integration process.
Skopje, 19 July 2024 (MIA) – Minister for European Affairs Orhan Murtezani held a meeting Friday with the Japanese Ambassador Otsuka Kazuya in which the excellent bilateral cooperation and Japan’s support for North Macedonia was confirmed through donations in some of the key sectors for the country’s EU integration process.
Murtezani thanked the Ambassador for Japan’s assistance to North Macedonia all the while discussing the successful implementation of projects funded with Japanese grants and ways to improve cooperation in the context of new investments, said the Ministry for European Affairs.
Murtezani reaffirmed the government’s commitment to further bolster the relations as part of Japan’s initiative for cooperation with the Western Balkan countries.
Highlighting the excellent cooperation with the Ministry for European Affairs, Ambassador Kazuya said Japan in the past several years had provided over 800,000 euros in assistance to improve health services for the procurement of medical equipment for the covid centers in the country.
