Minister Murtezani holds bilateral meetings during EUSAIR Forum in Greece
- On the sidelines of the 10th EUSAIR Annual Forum, where North Macedonia officially assumes the presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani held bilateral meetings with Slovenia’s Minister of Cohesion and Regional Development, Aleksander Jevšek and Gilles Kittel, Head of Unit for IPA and Enlargement at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional Policy.

Skopje, 7 May 2025 (MIA) – On the sidelines of the 10th EUSAIR Annual Forum, where North Macedonia officially assumes the presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani held bilateral meetings with Slovenia’s Minister of Cohesion and Regional Development, Aleksander Jevšek and Gilles Kittel, Head of Unit for IPA and Enlargement at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional Policy.
The talks with Slovenian Minister Jevšek focused on the ongoing preparations for North Macedonia’s EUSAIR presidency and support within the framework of the new Facility Point project, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

Discussions focused on exchanging experiences in the area of European territorial cooperation and management of Interreg programmes, as part of preparations for future use of EU cohesion and structural funds.
The meeting with Gilles Kittel covered all matters concerning North Macedonia’s forthcoming EUSAIR presidency, preparations, coordination with relevant stakeholders, and support from the European Commission.
The discussion also addressed the use of available financial and human resources, as well as the need for further planning to effectively implement the presidency’s priorities, reads the press release.
