Minister Murtezani attends EUSAIR Forum in Crete

Skopje, 5 May 2025 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani is heading a delegation of the Republic of North Macedonia to the 10th Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian region (EUSAIR), taking place Monday through Wednesday in Crete, Greece, within the Greek presidency.
North Macedonia will officially take over the EUSAIR presidency from Greece, a presidency rotated once a year, for the first time since the country became part of these regional cooperation formats, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.
In addition to the handover ceremony, adds the press release, Minister Murtezani will take part in a Panel of Ministers responsible for European Funds and a ministerial meeting, as part of the Forum's broader agenda on strengthening regional cooperation, connectivity and integration in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
North Macedonia's presidency of the EUSAIR and the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative begins on June 1, 2025.
