Minister Mucunski meets German Minister of State for Europe and Climate Lührmann

Skopje, 17 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Tuesday with Minister of State for Europe and Climate in Germany's Federal Foreign Office Anna Lührmann. 

Interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the development of excellent bilateral relations characterized by intensive political dialogue and active exchange of visits at the highest level in the past years, the Ministry said in a press release. 

The two particularly highlighted the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation within the country's European integration process, as well as the continuous support from Germany on that path. 

In addition, Mucunski and Lührmann expressed mutual satisfaction with the benefits of the Berlin process, in terms of speeding up European integration. Stressing the need for greater predictability of the integration process, Mucunski reaffirmed that the country remains strategically committed to speeding up the EU accession process, with a focus on quality implementation of reforms, reads the press release. 

Minister Lührmann welcomed the progress in the reform processes, voicing assurance that German support for the country's integration path will continue and reaffirming that Germany remains a reliable partner on the path towards the European Union, the press release adds.
