Skopje, 17 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Justice Igor Filkov met Tuesday with the head of the Programme Office of the Council of Europe in Skopje, Oleg Soldatov, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release. 

“The meeting discussed the cooperation with the Justice Ministry on projects being implemented within the frameworks of the Council of Europe’s Skopje Office and are related to the work of the Ministry,” the press release said. 

Minister Filkov expressed readiness to continue with intensive cooperation in the field of free legal aid, boosting the capacities of the incarceration system, freedom of expression and media, fight against human trafficking, economic crime, fight against hate speech, intolerance and discrimination. 

The Minister noted that the cooperation and support of the Council of Europe is exceptionally significant and valuable.
