Skopje, 12 June 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi met Thursday in Geneva with International Labor Organization (ILO) Director-General Gilbert Houngbo, discussing current and future cooperation between North Macedonia and the organization.

Minister Durmishi briefed Director-General Houngbo on the ongoing reforms in the labor field, the new project on enhancement of occupational safety and health, continued activities related to the Youth Guarantee, and progress in the functioning of the Economic-Social Council, the Ministry of Economy and Labor said in a press release.

Interlocutors also highlighted the country's commitment to the implementation of ILO Convention 190 (Violence and Harassment Convention) and key priorities: labor migration, gender equality, platform work, green jobs and support for small and medium enterprises, reads the press release.
