Minister Bozhinovska to attend energy summit in Athens at invitation of US energy secretary Wright
- The Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, at the official invitation of the US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, will participate in the sixth meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC) to be held in Athens.
Skopje, 4 November 2025 (MIA) – The Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, at the official invitation of the US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, will participate in the sixth meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC) to be held in Athens.
According to the Ministry, the event is organised by the US Department of Energy in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Greece, and represents one of the most influential platforms for energy cooperation between Europe and North America.
The forum will be opened by US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, together with Greek Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou. The program will feature leading figures from the global energy sector, representatives of international institutions and energy companies.
During her visit, Bozhinovska will also meet with US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to discuss opportunities to deepen energy cooperation and investments in regional energy corridors.
As part of the forum, Bozhinovska will also attend a reception organised by the US Embassy in Athens, at the invitation of Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle, in honour of the US Secretaries of the Interior and Energy and their teams visiting Greece as part of the P-TEC program.
P-TEC will focus on issues including energy security, nuclear technology, infrastructure financing, the role of natural gas in enhancing energy connectivity across Europe, and the transformation of energy systems in the era of artificial intelligence.
“Minister Bozhinovska’s participation in this forum confirmed the growing interest in and positioning of North Macedonia within transatlantic energy initiatives, as well as Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen energy stability, diversify sources and improve access to new technologies and investments,” reads the press release.
