Minister Bozhinovska to attend Athens Energy Summit

Athens, 5 February 2025 (MIA) – Energy security, climate change, and the transition to a more sustainable economy will be the key topics at the 14th Athens Energy Summit, taking place Wednesday in Athens. Minister of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska, will also be in attendance, MIA’s Athens correspondent reports.

Minister Bozhinovska, along with her counterparts from Greece and Cyprus, Theodoros Skylakakis and Giorgos Papanastasiou, will take part in a panel discussion on “Energy’s Great Game: Geopolitics and the Global Energy Market.”

“As part of the conference, North Macedonia’s Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska and Cyprus’s Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Giorgos Papanastasiou, will be in Athens to participate in discussion alongside Greece’s Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, and Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Alexandra Sdoukou. The forum will explore key challenges and opportunities in the energy sector, with an emphasis on regional cooperation, energy interconnections, and transition to clean energy,” according to summit organisers.

The Athens Energy Summit has solidified its position as the premier gathering for energy industry leaders and experts, providing an opportunity for development of innovative strategies to address the pressing challenges facing the energy sector.
