Minister Bozhinovska meets US Embassy officials
- Reinforcing and expanding the existing gas infrastructure, preparations ahead of the coming energy projects and the state of affairs in the state-owned joint stock companies, ESM and MEPSO, were the focal point of the talks of Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Raw Minerals, Sanja Bozhinovska, and officials of the US Embassy in Skopje.
Skopje, 23 August 2024 (MIA) – Reinforcing and expanding the existing gas infrastructure, preparations ahead of the coming energy projects and the state of affairs in the state-owned joint stock companies, ESM and MEPSO, were the focal point of the talks of Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Raw Minerals, Sanja Bozhinovska, and officials of the US Embassy in Skopje.
The prospects of using the energy potentials of Macedonia with an accent on renewable energy sources were discussed in the meeting, also attended by the economic sector chief, Ryan Miller, and Jordan Damchevski, senior economist at the embassy, said the Energy Ministry.
“New projects and complete diversification of the portfolio of our energy companies, consolidation and strengthening of their performances are the key goals we aim to fulfil. We aim at reinforced, modern and trusted energy sector, prepared for the coming challenges of green transition,” said Bozhinovska.
Talks also focused on the working visit of Minister Bozhinovska to the United States in early September, where she will meet with top officials, said the press release.
