Skopje, 11 November 2023 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said in an interview with Republika he is convinced that in the next elections DUI will be very unpleasantly surprised by the number of votes it will get and the number of MPs in the Macedonian Parliament.
He added that "VMRO-DPMNE will give a chance to the so-called Albanian opposition".
"According to the indications and information we have, the current DUI leadership and some of the people who are a part of it are seriously and deeply involved in crime. Our preferred option is the so-called Albanian opposition. A few days ago we saw a consolidation around that opposition," said Mickoski.
According to him, DUI should be given a chance to spend some time in opposition "to be refreshed with new ideas, because now they are confused and sending a bad message".
He said that in the upcoming parliamentary elections he will head the list in the first electoral district.
"I was born in Skopje, I grew up here, I live in the municipality of Karposh, which is part of the first electoral district, and it is logical that it should be practically the district in which I would head the list for VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition," said Mickoski.
He also commented on the Oncology Cliniccase, noting that it is a precedent that must be put to an end. According to him, it is necessary to point the finger at the real culprits and not to generalize things.
"There are many questions surrounding this affair but no answers. We don't even know if there is a pre-trial investigation, but we know that this cancer mafia and the favorite pharmaceutical wholesaler are in a close coalition and I promise you that in a few months from now, when VMRO-DPMNE will lead the government in Macedonia, we will seriously deal with the operations of this clinic," said Mickoski.
