Mickoski rallies Gevgelija voters, says no job losses would ensue
Skopje, 27 October 2021 (MIA) — VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski at a Gevgelija rally on Tuesday thanked citizens for voting for the party’s mayoral candidate in the first round of the local elections and reassured them if their candidate should win in the runoff, VMRO-DPMNE would show “no revanchist behavior to innocent citizens” and they would keep their jobs. Thanking citizens for voting for VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition’s municipal council candidates as well, Mickoski said his party would deliver on all of its promises given before the elections. He claimed there were “pressures, threats, bribery attempts the government has been making between the two rounds [of the election] here in Gevgelija” and told voters to support VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate Andon Saramandov instead. “This is the only way we can stand in the way of these deviant behaviors of this criminal and corrupted government that has been robbing, humiliating, and belittling Macedonia, the Macedonian citizen, and the people of Macedonia,” Mickoski said. Claiming there was a smear campaign against Saramandov and VMRO-DPMNE in the city, the party’s leader reassured voters that if their candidate should become Gevgelija Mayor, “there would be no revanchist behavior to innocent citizens.” His goals, he said, would be “to implement laws, to do honest work, to create a new future.” “This is why, dear citizens of Gevgelija, you needn’t worry about your future, your jobs are safe with us and you will keep them in the future. Our plan is to provide more jobs, and restore the splendor of Gevgelija and this region,” Mickoski said. “VMRO-DPMNE wants to build a future and not go back to the past to chase some ghosts that our political rival, the SDSM government, is talking about these days,” he added. mr/
