Skopje, 22 July 2025 (MIA) - Pensions will rise by another Mden 2,000 (EUR 33), in addition to the Mden 5,000 (EUR 81) increase in the first year of the Government's term, says Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.

Earlier today, the Government adopted the amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance for this purpose.

"We promised - we delivered. And we will continue. At today's Government session, we decided to further increase the pensions: Mden 1,000 in September and another Mden 1,000 next March, meaning that the pensions will rise by further Mden 2,000, in addition to the Mden 5,000 increase in the first year of the Government's term. Mden 7,000 more in total," PM Mickoski wrote in a Facebook post.

He adds that pensioners deserve full attention, respect and support.

"We will not stop here. This is only part of the policy of care, justice and responsibility that we have taken up as our task and one that we are implementing with commitment," adds Mickoski.
