Mickoski: No information on Radev meeting in Budapest, I'm prepared for talks anytime

Skopje, 12 October 2024 (MIA) – I have no information on a meeting with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev in Budapest, but I’m prepared to sit down and talk, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Saturday when asked whether he will meet with Radev in November at the meeting of the European Political Community in Budapest.

Earlier, citing high ranking political sources in Hungary, the web portal Racin.mk reported that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will organize a meeting of Macedonian PM Hristijan Mickoski and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, or the new premier of Bulgaria if a new government is elected after the October 27 elections, at the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest on November 7.

Speaking at a news conference today, PM Mickoski reiterated he wouldn’t accept “dictates”.

“If such an initiative comes by Mr Orban on November 7, I’m prepared anytime to sit down for talks based on facts, not dictates. I do not accept dictates,” he stated.
