Skopje, 15 October 2024 (MIA) — Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said he had had a "productive, efficient and promising" meeting with representatives from the German Eastern Business Association Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft in Berlin on Tuesday, according to an official press release.

Meeting participants talked about investment opportunities, with foreign companies expressing interest in making new investments in the country.

"We exchanged contact details and I think that very soon they will visit us to negotiate potential investments," PM Mickoski is quoted as saying in the release. 

"Our goal as a government, from the very start, has been to develop the investment climate and increase investments by companies not only domestic but also foreign," he said, adding that the country's trade with Germany was over EUR five billion.

Topics discussed at the meeting included energy and infrastructure as well as pharmaceutics and digitization, Mickoski said. mr/
