Mickoski in Vevchani: SDSM to suffer election debacle

Vevchani, 30 September 2025 (MIA) - SDSM is heading for another election debacle at the coming local elections, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski told a rally in Vevchani on Tuesday.

Mickoski said SDSM leader Venko Filipche is preparing for a new betrayal with the so-called "red lines" in the Bulgaria row.

"This is the real face of the opposition in its efforts to give our eastern neighbor a new gift. They call this gift a resolution or red lines, after which SDSM will unearth another concession at the expense of the Macedonian people. If the French proposal was so wonderful and Venko told us that the identity is protected, then why do we need these red lines in the so-called resolution?," asked Mickoski.

The VMRO-DPMNE leader urged the residents of Vevchani to give their vote to candidate Spase Kochovski, saying they know how to love and protect Macedonia.

"These are elections that will determine the municipality's development, because Vevchani is not only about culture, but your spirit, your streets, your nature," said Mickoski.

According to him, incumbent Mayor Kochovski showed over the past four years how to be honest, responsible and committed.

"Four years ago, I promised that Vevchani will be a municipality of all people, without divisions, without prejudice, regardless of party affiliation. I am proud to say the promise has been delivered," said Kochovski.

He added that his vision for Vevchani went beyond the four-year term.

"Our vision for the future is one in which young people stay here and every resident feels safe and has a decent life. I seek your vote so that we finish the projects we have initiated, but also open new perspectives in order to make Vevchani a model of local self-government that operates in the people's interest," said Kochovski.
