Mickoski in Valandovo: VMRO-DPMNE to build good relations with neighbors, but won’t be signing any agreements
Valandovo, 7 October 2021 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday he would build good relations with the neighbors insisting he would not sign any agreements. “VMRO-DPMNE and I will have the best relations with the neighbors because we will respect them, but we won’t lie to them that we’ll sign everything that will be handed over to us. And I won’t be ashamed to demand respect, I’ll demand reciprocity,” he told a rally in Valandovo as part of the opposition party’s campaign across the country ahead of the October 17 local elections. Mickoski also accused PM Zoran Zaev of creating a dispute with Bulgaria and of creating tensions in the society by amnestying crime together with the government junior coalition partner DUI. Addressing the rally seeking support of voters in Valandovo, municipal candidate Toni Uzunov pledged that if elected he would build an industrial zone, a water treatment station, modernize the water supply system, a waste treatment plant in addition to many other projects. “In the next four years I will be at the helm of the municipality with a concept for economic, social, cultural and sport development by adequately using resources and opportunities,” he said. The coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE also held events as part of its “Create a New Future!” election campaign in Dojran, Bogdanci and Gevgelija.
