Skopje, 10 June 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated Tuesday that he will not politicize the tragic event at the ‘Pulse’ nightclub in Kochani and that the government will do everything in its power to support the families of the victims and the municipality of Kochani. He also revealed that a new project for the city, developed jointly with the EU, will be unveiled in the near future.
“I will never politicize this case, and as a government we will do everything in our power to do so. And I am working on such a project, together with the European Union office. I hope that very soon, by the end of the month, we will reveal the size of this project and what this project for Kochani will include. So the pain for all of us, especially for the parents of the people who died in that terrible accident and those who were injured, will last a lifetime. It is not a sentiment that disappears overnight. But we as a government have an obligation and responsibility towards all citizens to fight for justice and, as you can see, justice, unlike the principle up until now, already exists,” Mickoski said.
PM Mickoski, when asked by journalists about the detention of the real owner of the security agency 'Rubicon,' Aleksandar Nacev, stated that the Prosecutor’s Office is acting in accordance with the investigation, and whatever the Prosecutor’s Office requests from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry fulfils. Thus, no one should have any doubts about this issue.
“Everyone who is responsible according to the Public Prosecutor's Office - Ministry of Interior will act accordingly. So, let's let them lead the investigation. Now, I regret that certain political parties are trying to gain some political points through this case. I think that it comes back to them like a boomerang and that it is not a successful mission for them,” Mickoski stated.
