Mickoski: Gov’t doing everything to support families of nightclub fire victims

Skopje, 17 November 2025 (MIA) - The question of establishing an inquiry committee to investigate the fire at the “Pulse” nightclub in Kochani should be addressed to Members of Parliament, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told journalists Monday.

“I think it is best to pose this question to the MPs. I think this kind of public confrontation will happen very soon when the court procedure begins. So, everyone, the citizens, the public, and you the media will be able to hear what happened,” Mickoski said, asked if VMRO-DPMNE's parliamentary group would support the request by the families of the victims for an inquiry committee.

Quizzed about one-time financial assistance for the families, as was done with the families of the victims of the fire at the modular hospital in Tetovo during the Covid pandemic, Mickoski said the government has done and will continue to do everything to help the families.

“I heard both requests. I absolutely have no dilemmas that we as a government have done, are doing, and will continue to do everything necessary to help in this case, to reduce the pain which is immeasurable, infinite,” Mickoski said.
