Skopje, 6 October 2023 (MIA) - Corruption and crime, and the authorities' incapability to manage any challenge was the topic of the meeting of VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski with European Union Ambassador David Geer on Friday.

Discussions focused on future projects and objectives that are significant for the citizens and the state, aimed at improving the standard of life. President Mickoski, accompanied by party vice-presidents Aleksandar Nikoloski and Timcho Mucunski, informed Ambassador Geer on the situation in the country related to corruption and crime, involving Government officials, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release.

The VMRO-DPMNE officials pointed to the incompetence of the authorities to cope with any challenge or develop penal policies for perpetrators of crime and corruption.

In addition, Mickoski highlighted the poor economic situation in the country, as well as the rising dissatisfaction and poverty among citizens, reads the press release.
