Mickoski: Filipche and Zaev have the same virus, the people are the cure

Kriva Palanka, 14 October 2025 (MIA) – Kriva Palanka deserves change and these elections decide the future of your municipality. One option will move us backwards, the other will move us forward, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said at a rally on Tuesday evening in Kriva Palanka.
Mickoski addressed SDSM leader Venko Filipche’s statements at the party’s rallies, saying there is no logical explanation for the statements made by the opposition leader since “he was one of the leading figures, alongside his mentor and guru Zoran Zaev, in SDSM’s previous governments when Macedonia was being robbed and devastated”.
“Now he’s come here and tells us how he perceives reality. I don’t understand how a man without shame can speak and pretend to be someone else. In medicine, that’s called pathology – a pathology typical of someone who used to place his hand on his heart when swearing by his Macedonian ‘thread’. Clearly this was contagious, and today that virus has infected the new leader of SDSM, Venko Filipche. The virus begins with a sense of self-confidence. It grows and grows… until it turns into a sense of divinity. The next symptom? The hand on the heart. A person infected by the virus instinctively places their hand on their heart and swears, no matter what they’re saying. Sometimes it sounds strange, unusual, even unnecessary, but that’s the symptom,” Mickoski said.
The VMRO-DPMNE leader said the second “symptom” is to act as if one is new, pure, and honorable.
“Then comes the second stage, and that’s forgetting. He forgets that others know him. He forgets that he had the chance to do something, and not only did he waste it, but he is also directly responsible for that – for tragedies, corruption, betrayals, for the shame he has inflicted on his own country,” Mickoski said.
Mickoski continued, saying “one of the most critical symptoms of the virus is the yacht, where the infected develops an unprecedented desire for luxury”.
“And the strongest symptom, the one that doesn’t respond to any vaccine, is lying. It’s unbelievable: whatever the man says is absolutely untrue and a lie. He invents a reality that suits him and lives in it as if it were normal,” Mickoski said.
Mickoski said there is one “cure” for the “virus” – the people.
“That cure is called the people of Macedonia, and this is what will happen to them in a few days, on October 19. The people are the cure that will wake them up and make them stop underestimating the people, because the people never forget. The people remember, and they remember well – and they remember so it doesn’t happen again. The people are the cure, and with the strength of that cure, Macedonia will prevail. It will defeat the virus that has infected the leadership of SDSM, the virus of arrogance, condescension, corruption, and incomprehensible behavior,” Mickoski said in Kriva Palanka.
