Mickoski: Davkova garners more votes combined than two government candidates, Pendarovski and Osmani

Skopje, 28 April 2024 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday that the people have spoken: the next coalition in Macedonia will be led by VMRO-DPMNE which will be joined by Worth It coalition that ran in these elections.

"The will of the people should be respected. Upon analyzing the election outcome, one can conclude that the government candidates, Stevo Pendarovski and Bujar Osmani, collectively secured 300,000 votes. If you look at the result decided by the citizens, which is the outcome of Gordana Siljanovska Davkova the future president and Gostivar mayor, Arben Taravari, it's close to 450,000 votes, which means one and a half times more," Mickoski told reporters while overseeing construction activities in the Aerodrom municipality.

He pointed out that the people have already stated that the next government will be led by VMRO-DPMNE which will be joined by Worth It coalition that ran in these elections.

"The citizens have decided, and I regret that Ali Ahmeti wants to present himself in public as an ideologue and very influential, while behind the scenes, he sends emissaries and unquestionably wants to enter into a future coalition with VMRO-DPMNE and 'Your Macedonia',” he noted.

He announced that in the second round of the presidential elections, they expect support for Siljanovska-Davkova from ZNAM Movement, as well as from the voters of all candidates who did not advance to the second round.
